What is Erectile Dysfunction or ED?

Erectile Dysfunction, is the constant inability to get or keep an erection firm enough for sex caused by a decreased blood flow to the penile muscle. This, in turn, can interfere with a lack of sexual desire or issues with an orgasm.

What causes ED?

It is estimated that up to 80% of the cases of erectile dysfunction can be attributed at least in part to a reduced blood flow, typically due to an underlying vascular disease also various other factors like Peyronie's disease. 1 out of every 2 men between the ages of 35 and 65 will have issues regarding erectile dysfunction.

Pharmaceutical methods have been used to treat erectile dysfunction like Viagra and Cialis. However, these drugs induce only a temporary response and are not effective in many patients due to the underlying issues that may be causing decreased blood flow or muscular damage. These medicines can also have serious side-effects including heart attack, stroke and may even cause death.

Treatments like Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Procedures and stem cell procedures could address these underlying issues related to erectile dysfunction like tissue defects and/or vascular disease. PRP could provide a longer term therapy or possibly a permanent effect.

Results are usually apparent 2 to 4 weeks post procedure and improve gradually in erection and performance.

Expect minimal swelling, bruising and redness.

Does it leave any scarring?
No. This is a minimally invasive procedure.

Is it safe?
Yes. Since it is your own body's tissues that we use, there is no allergic or adverse reaction or rejection that can happen from the stem cells. Also, since there is no need for general anesthesia, serious risks associated with general anesthesia are eliminated.

Is it painful?
Most patients may feel mild pressure during the injection, and may notice some soreness in the area for around a week after the procedure. This is very normal.

How long is the recovery?
You can get back to your normal daily life immediately.

How long will the result last?
The results can last for several years, possibly indefinitely. However, it must be understood that Stem Cell Therapy is not a cure for E.D. or any other issue. Although we've seen success, everyone is different and may experience different results.
